On1™ restorative concept
Preserve the soft tissue attachment
What is the On1 concept?
The On1 concept is unique. It's the first concept to preserve the soft tissue attachment and maintain full restorative and surgical flexibility.
The concept also radically simplifies the restorative procedure, as the On1 Base moves the restorative platform of Nobel Biocare conical connection implants from bone level to tissue level. It remains in position from implant placement to finalization, which leaves the soft tissue undisturbed for optimized healing.
Main benefits of the On1 concept

Simplify all restorative procedures
The On1 Base moves the prosthetic platform from bone level to tissue level. This makes attachment of restorative components and impression taking much easier as the connection is clearly visible.

Gain peace of mind
The On1 Base has a unique prosthetic connection, ensuring that only precision-engineered Nobel Biocare restorations are used. But how strong is the On1 concept compared with one-piece systems?
Read the study summary on the fatigue performance of the On1 concept.
Maintain surgical flexibility
The On1 concept can be used with any Nobel Biocare conical connection implant system, each designed for high primary stability and built-in platform shifting. These include NobelActive, NobelParallel and NobelReplace.
User experiences

Prof. Bernard Touati, France
“With On1 you get the best of both worlds – a bone-level implant with built-in platform shifting and restoration at tissue level without disturbing the mucosal seal.“

Prof. Eric Rompen, Belgium
“The On1 concept is great for both surgeons and restorative clinicians, as it provides surgical flexibility along with soft tissue biocompatibility, but also provides a simplified restorative workflow and great ease of use with a tissue-level connection.”
Dr. Richard Brookshaw, United Kingdom
"My initial experience with the On1 concept is very positive. The advantage of the On1 concept is that we don't have to worry about any changes in soft tissue. If we place it and [the soft tissue] changes, then later on we can just remove it and go back down to bone level."

Dr. Simon Kold, Denmark
"We've been using the On1 concept for some months now and my immediate first thought was: why haven't we thought of this before? There are so many great options with intraoral scanning in combination with the On1 Base."
