What is the On1 concept?

The On1 concept is unique. It's the first concept to preserve the soft tissue attachment and maintain full restorative and surgical flexibility.

The concept also radically simplifies the restorative procedure, as the On1 Base moves the restorative platform of Nobel Biocare conical connection implants from bone level to tissue level. It remains in position from implant placement to finalization, which leaves the soft tissue undisturbed for optimized healing.

Maintain surgical flexibility

The On1 concept can be used with any Nobel Biocare conical connection implant system, each designed for high primary stability and built-in platform shifting. These include NobelActive, NobelParallel and NobelReplace.

Two workflow options

The On1 concept provides you with the option to follow the conventional impression taking workflow or the intraoral scan workflow using the special On1 IOS (Intraoral Scannable) Healing Cap. 

Conventional impression taking workflow

The On1 Base stays in position while the healing cap, temporary restoration, impression coping and final restoration are placed.

Increase workflow efficiency with intraoral scanning

Save substantial chair time with the unique On1 IOS Healing Cap, which supports an intraoral workflow. This eliminates conventional restorative procedures, including impression taking, while also serving as a healing abutment.


The On1 Base

With two height options available, there is the flexibility to choose the On1 Base depending on the thickness of the soft tissue. Unlike with traditional tissue-level implants, this makes it possible to optimize short- and long-term esthetic outcomes.

On1 connection

The On1 connection with six lobes is designed to make the attachment of restorative components as straightforward as possible. 

On1 Healing Caps for two workflows

Depending on your desired workflow, the On1 concept provides a conventional healing cap or an IOS healing cap, which doubles as an intraoral scan abutment. 

On1 temporary solution

With the On1 Temporary Abutment you are able to provide your patient with a screw-retained provisional restoration on the day of surgery.

On1 final solutions

Depending on the indication or preference, you can choose a cement- or screw-retained final restoration.
